If you own your own company and work out of a home office or you are a network marketer working from home. We all know how challenging it can be to work from our house. If your working at your kitchen table as most do, we often get distracted from things that are going on around us. Our kids, messy house, laundry we forgot to do, feeding the dog and many more distractions. Or some times we are just steps away from our bed or our couch and we think to ourselves “what if I just take a small break” and the time passes us by.This even tends to happen when we have dedicated a room or space just as a office. We tend to get lazy in our dwelling. What do we do when these things break our concentration and focus on our daily goals?

Here are a few tips on getting your home based business motivated:

  • Prepare yourself for the day. Set a time to wake up every morning and get ready for the day as if you are going to work for a 9 to 5 job.

  • Start your day at a Starbucks or any location where you can connect to a free WIFI. It’s always a good idea to begin with your email and respond to your social media post. This will emulate driving to work and beginning your projects.

  • Make a daily task list of the items that need to be completed. These are task that will yield productive results that can be measured.

  • Keep a log of each item that is completed so you can track your progress.

  • Set up meeting with clients. This way you are actively in motion with your business. Remember “A body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest”.

  • Network your venture. Aside from utilizing social media as a networking tool, go to networking events. These events can be business to business, small business meet ups, seminars and trainings. This helps get you noticed in the business community and attracts prospective clients to you.

  • Hit the gym, not only does this keep you active but it increases your energy level, promotes good health and builds confidence.

These tips will help you in feeling a scene of accomplishment and productivity. This not only keeps your body in motion but it keeps your business in motion. Always be accountable to your goals and take action. If you come up with a idea, write it down immediately. If someone ask to send them a email or follow up with them later in the week, put it in your schedule. It is important to follow up and accomplish what you say you are going to do for clients and prospective clients. Your word in part of your creditability and by not taking action you will be noticed for that in the business community.

“Motion creates emotion” be passionate about what you do and you will always be motivated to do it.

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”
